Ashcroft Secondary School enrolls 260 students in grades 8 through 12. In
partnership with aboriginal and parent advisory
councils, our school provides a full range of secondary level educational
programs. Approximately sixty percent of our students make use of School
District #74 (Gold Trail) busing services, while fully forty percent are of
aboriginal descent.
Our pursuit of excellence at Ashcroft Secondary is guided by our School
Growth Plan, a collaborative product of the ongoing efforts of student,
aboriginal, parental and faculty representatives. Focusing upon literacy and
security objectives, our School Growth Plan provides the bases for key
learning initiatives. Further, Ashcroft Secondary is an official A.V.I.D.
School Site through to 2009. Proceeding in partnership with the B.C.
Ministry of Education, our school will be providing a fully authorized
A.V.I.D. program of studies to grade nine learners as of September 2005.
Recipient of the B.C. School Sports Association “School of the Year:
2003-2004” and offering state of the art Trades and Transitions programs,
Ashcroft Secondary School provides quality programs for all students. We
look forward to the opportunity of meeting the unique educational needs of
your family at the “The Home of the Golden Rams,” Ashcroft Secondary School!
